Speech on Implementation Considerations
At a recent conference held by the Personal Finance Society, Linda Woodall, Head of Investments Department gave a speech updating the attendees on the FSA current considerations on RDR implementation. A copy of this speech is linked below.
The speech provides a useful summary on the key areas of the RDR and also highlights some of the key challenges that the FSA consider firms are facing and will continue to face in advance of December 2012.
In this speech, the FSA also highlights that they will be assisting firms further by running a series of implementation surgeries for smaller firms from the end of this year. This process is likely to be nationwide and these will be one-to-one surgeries allowing firms to discuss the progress that they have made on implementation. The speech also confirms that the recent consultation on the top questions asked at previous RDR roadshows is now closed and final guidance will be issued in due course once the FSA have considered the feedback.
